From September of 1941, a new camouflage scheme was 
introduced on British military Aircraft. The 
Air Ministry directive replaced the dark earth brown 
with ocean grey in the upper surface camouflage. A 
modified national insignia with narrorer white and 
yellow rings in the roundel, narrorer white band in 
the fin flash, and a yellow  stripe along the wing 
leading edge were introduced from June of 1942.
